How to find case studies

Pablo Stanley, blush.design ©

Whether in an economics course or at an assessment centre, case studies are a popular format for both teaching and testing. Case studies are practical examples (both real and fictitious) that students or applicants are asked to respond to, whether by deciding and explaining their viewpoint or proposing solutions.

You can find case studies in our collection by following these steps:

  • Use the keyword search box to search for „case study“ (or „Fallstudie“ in German). Combine this with the search terms that you have prepared for your topic.
  • Take a look at the filter options in the database that you are using. You can often filter the results by publication or document type and thus restrict your search to documents that have been labelled as case studies.
  • You can find a list of Harvard Business School Cases as far back as 1942 in Business Source Ultimate. However, you cannot access these texts, as Harvard Business School only sells these directly to its staff and students.
  • However, other sources can be used to find the full texts of case studies.
