How to gain access to online literature using the search engine and VPN

Are you yet again struggling to find the PDF to an article that you urgently need for your paper?

Don't give up!

Open Google Scholar
Click on the three lines in the top left-hand corner to get to the settings
Select "Library Links" and type "Reutlingen" into the search bar, then start the search
Check the box next to "Reutlingen University Library - Bestand HSB Reutlingen" and save this setting.

Now you can see, at a glance, whether you can immediately download the PDF or not.

The words “Bestand HSB Reutlingen” indicate that the Learning Centre has purchased the license for the journal in which the article appeared. By connecting to the university network via VPN, you can access the article PDF directly from your Google scholar search. Click on the words “Bestand HSB Reutlingen” and then on the two small arrows next to the DOI.
