Diversity Month

Diversity is a key concern at Reutlingen University. In 2024, we are dedicating an entire month to the topic of diversity for the second time. In numerous lectures and activities, we will shed light on different facets of diversity and invite people to exchange ideas and reflect. The program is aimed at all interested parties inside and outside the university.

Once again this year, we would like to celebrate diversity at the university in May - European Diversity Month. We will start our second Diversity Month on April 18 as part of International Week with our "International Campus Day @ Reutlingen University", a cooperation with ESB and RIO. We will continue on May 15 with Beyza Bol's online lecture "Addressing Handshaking Restrictions for Muslim Employees at the Workplace". On May 16, Tobias Riedel, the district disability officer in the district of Reutlingen, will lead a round table discussion: "Traveling internationally with physical disabilities - is that possible?". The event continues on May 22. Prof. Dr. Elizabeth Hofvenschiöld will address the topic: "Intergenerational Justice: a temporal dimension of diversity". As in the previous year, the event will conclude on May 28, the German Diversity Day, with a Diversity Café on campus in cooperation with the ekhg.
