Shaping the future
What will life be like in the future? And what will change for each and every one of us? We too are deeply concerned with these questions. That is why our professors at Reutlingen University explore these issues with our students. From digital work models to artificial intelligence and printable meat substitutes, together we want to shape the world of tomorrow.
Sustainable development & climate protection
Climate change and the associated scarcity of resources are the central issues of our time. In our globalised world, our actions not only affect our immediate surroundings, but also other regions of the world and future generations. We want to work on these issues with our students because we all have an impact on what the future will look like.
Diversity & inclusion
We consider Reutlingen University to be a place of mutual respect and candour. Here, diversity is embraced and understood as a great enrichment for all. Accordingly, equality and diversity are seen as core tasks of university development and an opportunity to create a collaborative, open-minded and respectful society.
Internationalism
Internationalism is an integral part of our university life. Accordingly, Reutlingen University cooperates with more than 200 partner universities worldwide and approximately 20% of our students are international. Every semester, many students also go abroad to study or do an internship. To facilitate all this, the Reutlingen International Office (RIO) supports them on their way with language courses, advice on finding the right partner university and much more.
Together for success
We support students in their everyday life by providing them with numerous (study-related) services and extracurricular course offers . First-year students, for instance, receive important preparatory information on what to expect from their studies during the "staRT Wochen". Naturally, we also provide students with a variety of training courses from different areas to ensure we continously work toward our common success.
Entrepreneurship
Innovative ideas need room to take shape and develop. Hence, it is very important for us to support young entrepreneurs and their business ideas, and many dedicated professors are here to accompany them. All these activities are managed by the Center for Entrepreneurship which gives students an insight into all topics related to start-up founding.
Working with economic partners
Reutlingen University has always been committed to a practical and intensive dialogue with companies. Therefore, we work closely with both major international corporations and high performing mid-sized companies. The advantage of this is that by combining our respective expertise, we can push forward even more exciting and complex topics and thus help shape the jobs of the future.
Top rankings
Reutlingen University regularly participates in national and international ranking procedures. For years, top rankings have attested to the high level and good reputation of our academic and practical education. Surveys conducted by human resources managers at large companies also confirm this.
